Hugh II de Courtenay 
Hugh II de was born on September 14th, 1273 in Okehampton, Devon, England.1 Hugh II de's father was Hugh de Courtenay and his mother was Eleanor le Despencer. His paternal grandparents were John de Courtenay and Isabel de Vere; his maternal grandparents were Hugh II le Despencer and Aliva Bassett. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Philip de, Thomas de, John de, Robert de, Eleanor, Margaret de, Avelina Ada' de, Isabel de, Egeline de and Alice de. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 67 on December 23rd, 1340 in Exeter, Devonshire, England. He was buried in Exeter Cathedral, Devon, England.1 1 General Notes
