George H. Eckert 
George H. was born in 1832 in Paradise Twp., Lancaster Co., PA. George H.'s father was George Lewis Eckert and his mother was Sarah Jane Slaymaker. His maternal grandparents were John, Jr. Slaymaker and Jeannett McIlvaine. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Howard, Nathaniel, Albert, Charles Whitfield, Mary Jane, Susan C., Lavinia and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 29 in 1861.General Notes
