John, Jr. Slaymaker 
John, Jr. was born on November 18th, 1772 in Lancaster Co., PA. John, Jr.'s father was John Slaymaker and his mother was Elizabeth White. His paternal grandparents were Mathias Schleiermacher and Catharine Schiebel; his maternal grandparents were William White and Jane ?. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named William, Alexander, Mathias, Jane E., Elizabeth, Margaret, Catharine, Anne, Mary and Susannah. He died at the age of 90 on September 4th, 1863 in Lancaster Co., PA.General Notes

John Slaymaker, born November 18, 1772, married Jeannett McIlvaine, had
12 children, and died September 4, 1863. He was known as Captain John,
as he was captain of the militia. Confined to his room for seven months
before his death, about his last words were "All is well". He was an
elder in the Leacock Presbyterian Church, and was well known all over the
eastern end of Lancaster County, PA
