Pierre Ogier

Pierre was born on February 18th, 1759 in The parish of St Sampson on the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands and his baptism took place on February 18th, 1759 in The parish church of St. Sampson.^1 2   His godfather was Pierre Ogier snr and his godmother was Catherine (his daughter).  Pierre's father was Pierre Ogier and his mother was Judith Flere.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas des Landesm Ogier and Marquerite Nant. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Jean, William, Daniel, Judith, Ester, Catherine and Marthe.  He was the third oldest of the nine children.
