Catherine Ogier

Catherine was born on January 28th, 1763 in The parish of St Sampson on the Isle of Guernsey, Channel Islands and her baptism took place on January 28th, 1763 in The parish church of St. Sampson.^1 2   Her godfather was Jean Ogier and her godmother was Martha Flere.  Catherine's father was Pierre Ogier and her mother was Judith Flere.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas des Landesm Ogier and Marquerite Nant. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Pierre, Jean, William, Daniel, Judith, Ester and Marthe.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
