1836 Alice Mather In 1951, Alice was not at home with parents. 1837 - 1857 Colin Mather 20 20 In 1851, Colin Mather (14), was not named on census - most strange, but listed before William (12) 1838 - 1920 Sir William Mather 82 82 Sir William Mather PC (15 July 1838 – 18 September 1920) was a British industrialist and Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1885 and 1904. 

William was the eldest son of William Mather Esq and Amelia, dau of the Late J Tidswell Esq.:  William was born 1838; married Emma, daughter of Thomas Watson Esq in 1863 and had issue.  He was a Magistrate for co. Lancaster, and a manufacturer at Manchester; was MP for South Salford 1885-86,

In 1881, William Mather (42), Member of School Board, Mechanical Engineer of Firm Mather & Platt and Emma Jane (36) were in Park Lane, Broughton. with Alice (15), Florence M (7), Grace E (4), William E (3), Dorothy C (1), a governess and 4 female servants.

In 1889 William was elected MP of Lancashire (Gorton Div.); Lived at Wood Hill, Prestwich and a member of the National Liberal Club.

In 1891, William (MP, JP, and Engineer) and Emma J (52 & 48) were at Scholes Lane (Wood Hill), Rainsough, Prestwich with Grace E (14), William E (13), Dorothy C (11) and Lois E (5), plus 6 servants.

In 1911, William was not at home.at Bramble Hill Lodge, Bramshaw, Hampshire.  By 1911, they had 9 children in total, and 4 had died.

William died 18 Sep 1920 at Bramble Hill and Emma Jane died at Bramble Hill Lodge the followinmg year.

In 1881, John and Ellen (40 & 43) were at 5 Wellington Street East with 4 children and three servants.
1842 Amelia (Amy) Mather In 1871, Amelia (27) was living with her mother Amelia (63) at Stand, pilkington.  Ahe married Andrew William Manson at Stand 10 May 1871.

In 1891, Andrew W and Amelia Manson (48 & 47) were living at Chorlton on Medlock with 5 daughters.
1835 Ellen (Nellie) Metcalfe Inh 1871, Ellen Mather was visiting Jone (50) and Louisa E Metcals (42), assumed to be 3 sisters at Cambridge, St Andrew the Less. They also had a servant. 1841 Andrew William Manson 1843 - 1921 Emma Jane Watson 78 78
Emma Jane Mather, widow of Bramble Hill Lodge, Brahshaw, Hampshire died 10 Nov 1921 leaving £27,626.
John M Hewitt 1810 - 1858 William Mather 48 48 23 Apr 1835, William Mather married Amelia Tidwell (i.e. Tideswell) at Liverpool, St Philip, Lancashire by licence.

In 1840, William was an Engineer at Pendleton when Colin was baptised

In 1851, William and Amelia (40 & 39) were at Broughton, Salford with various family members.
