Levi's father was George Lowe and his mother was Sarah Fielding. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Lowe and Sarah Mather. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James, George, Samuel, Sarah, Susannah and Alice. He had two adopted brothers named Jesse and Thomas.
