Henry and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on June 23rd, 1879 in Salford by Joseph Miller and witnessed by Robert Wright and Mary Ellen Burtoft.¹

  Henry, a labourer was 20 yrs and Mary, a weaver 21 yrs.
  Mary Ellen Burtoft (nee Moore) was the wife of Hamer, a Joiner in Little Droylsden. Therefore probably not a relation.

They had three sons and four daughters, named Frank, Joseph, John, Sarah, Hannah, Clara and Florence. There are no more children.
