Thomas was born in February 1834 in Haslingden and his baptism took place there on February 28th, 1834.1  Thomas' father was William Woods and his mother was Nancy Mather.  His maternal grandparents were <unknown> and Elizabeth (Betty) Mather. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Betty and Margaret. He had an adopted sister named Susannah.  He died at 1 months old in March 1834 in Haslingden.  His burial was on March 11th, 1834 in Haslingden.2
