Thomas was born on June 19th, 1844 in Rainford and his baptism took place there on July 21st, 1844.¹

Birth Notes

Thomas' father was Thomas Whalley and his mother was Alice Heyes. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Whalley and Ellen Fyles; his maternal grandparents were James Heyes and Catherine Birch. He had a brother and three sisters, named James, Catherine, Ellen and Alice. He was the second youngest of the five known children. He died at the age of 57 in 1901.
