Note: There is another Thomas Whalley, born ca.1800, who was a grocer in Blackburn in 1841 (aged 40) with Ann Eastham (aged 20). Another of same age a weaver and lodger in Over Darwen in 1851 aged 72.
In 1841, Thomas died in Rainford (registered at Prescot).
Thomas and Ellen were married in a religious ceremony on September 3rd, 1797 in Billinge. They had two sons and a daughter, named Thomas, Joseph and Martha. There are possibly more children.
