Thomas Whalley

Thomas was born in 1779 in Ormskirk and his baptism took place there on June 27th, 1779.¹

Thomas' father was Robert Whalley and his mother was Ellen (Nell) Kingsley. His paternal grandparents were Richard Whalley and Alice Whalley. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John, Richard, Alice, Alice and Ann. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 69 in 1848 in Rainford.²

- Note: There is another Thomas Whalley, born ca.1800, who was a grocer in Blackburn in 1841 (aged 40) with Ann Eastham (aged 20). Another of same age a weaver and lodger in Over Darwen in 1851 aged 72.
  
  In 1841, Thomas died in Rainford (registered at Prescot).
