Sarah Ellen Ward

Sarah was born in 1875. Sarah's father was John Ward and her mother was Hannah Mather. Her maternal grandparents were James Mather and Susanna (Susan) Whalley. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Peter, James, Susan and Ada. She was the second oldest of the five children.

- In 1901, the family are together without parents or head. Susan A, Sarah E, Ada A, Peter and James (28, 26, 24, 20 & 14) are living at 8 Mortfield Lane, L.B.
