Martha Walmsley

Martha was born in 1845 in Ormskirk.¹ Martha's father was Richard Walmsley and her mother was Rachel Mather. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Walmsley and Martha Forshaw; her maternal grandparents were Matthias Mather and Mary Priestley. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Edwin, Fredric, Thomas, Mary, Caroline and Sophia. She was the oldest of the seven known children.
