Sarah Alice Tomlinson

Sarah was born on December 28th, 1875 in Bolton and her baptism took place on October 1st, 1876 at Bolton Holy Trinity.¹²

- Birth date is 28 Dec 1876 on 1939 register (married to Alfred with brother Richard Tomlinson) so definately correct record. Alfred must have got his wife's age wrong by a year!

Sarah's father was William Tomlinson and her mother was Mary Ann Barnes. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Tomlinson and Ann Bolton; her maternal grandparents were William Barnes and Ellen. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Richard, Richard, William, Ann, Emma, Charlotte, Mary and Maggie. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 79 in December 1954 in Bolton.³
