Richard Tomlinson

Richard was born in April 1870 in Bolton and his baptism took place on May 22nd, 1870 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

Richard's father was William Tomlinson and his mother was Mary Ann Barnes. His paternal grandparents were Richard Tomlinson and Ann Bolton; his maternal grandparents were William Barnes and Ellen. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Richard, William, Ann, Emma, Sarah, Charlotte, Mary and Maggie. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 7 in June 1877 in Bolton. His burial was on June 11th, 1877 at Tonge-with-Haulgh Cemetery.³⁴
