Anabella's father was John Tomlinson and her mother was Elizabeth Davies.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Tomlinson and Martha Carr. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Edward, Martha and Jessie.  She was the second oldest of the five children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William, Mary and Elizabeth.
