Job was born on April 8th, 1825 in Taylor Hill and his baptism took place on June 26th, 1825 at St. Peter (Huddersfield).¹²

Job's father was James Stocks and his mother was Hannah Edwards. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Stocks and Elizabeth Hargreaves.
