Job's father was James Stocks and his mother was Hannah Edwards.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Stocks and Elizabeth Hargreaves. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Uriah, George, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah and Emma.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 43 in January 1869 in Huddersfield.  He was buried on January 24th, 1869 in Lockwood.^3 4

‌Job and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on November 7th, 1847 at St. Peter (Huddersfield).⁶   They had five sons named Henry, Samuel, Fred, Edwin and James.  There are no more children.
