Martha Smith

Martha was born in October 1762 in Clayton (Bradford) and her baptism took place on October 19th, 1762 at Northowram Independant.¹

Martha's father was William Smith and her mother was Mary Wilkinson. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John, Isaac, William, Mary, Betty, Priscilla, Hannah and Matty. She was the seventh oldest of the nine children.

General Notes
- In Feb 1818, Martha Smith (possibly another) was selling LOT IV: A Freehold Farm, called the Norr, with land, barn and stable (about 26 acres) situated at Wilsden, "now or late in the occupation of Martha". This could be the former family farm of her two brothers John and William who died soon after this sale.
