Margaret's father was Thomas Rogers and her mother was Elizabeth Davies. Her maternal grandparents were John Davies and Ann Whitfield. She had a brother and a sister, named John and Catherine. She was the oldest of the three known children. She had two half-sisters named Ann and Mary.
