(Alfred) was born in March 1873 in Rock Ferry.1  (Alfred)'s father was James Parr and his mother was Martha Griffiths. He had two sisters named Mary and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had four half-sisters named Martha, Emily, Florence and Martha.
