Taliesin's father was Taliesin Owen and his mother was Mary Jane Jones. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William, Samuel, Harold, Arthur, Tilston, Elizabeth, Margaret and Amy.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 66 in 1943 in Birkenhead.²
