Jenny was born in February 1807 in Billinge and her baptism took place on February 22nd, 1807 at St. Aidan (Billinge).1  Jenny's father was Edward Moyers and her mother was Tabitha Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were James Mather and Ann Berrington. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Edward, Edward, Mary, Ann, Margaret, Sarah and Ellen.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
