Tabitha Mather

Tabitha was born in 1774 in Billinge and her baptism took place on February 27th, 1774 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹

Tabitha's father was James Mather and her mother was Ann Berrington. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Rawlinson. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Joshua, James, John, William, Peter, Ann and Sarah. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 67 in February 1841 in Billinge. She was buried on February 17th, 1841 at St. Aidan (Billinge).²¹
