Sarah Mather

Sarah was born in November 1781 in Billinge and her baptism took place on November 11th, 1781 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹

Sarah's father was James Mather and her mother was Ann Berrington.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Rawlinson. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Joshua, James, John, William, Peter, Ann and Tabitha.  She was the youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 2 in March 1784 in Billinge.  She was buried on February 3rd, 1784 in Wigan.¹
