William Henry Mather

William was born on November 28th, 1830 in Radcliffe and his baptism took place on January 2nd, 1831 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).^1 2

William's father was James Mather and his mother was Martha Whitaker.  His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Mary Melling. He had five brothers and three sisters, named James, Thomas, Edward, Charles, Joseph, Martha, Mary and Mary.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 50 on December 6th, 1880 in Whitefield.  He was buried in February 1880 in Whitefield.³
