Edward Mather

Edward was born on April 25th, 1835 in Radcliffe and his baptism took place on August 2nd, 1835 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).¹

Edward's father was James Mather and his mother was Martha Whitaker.  His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Mary Melling. He had five brothers and three sisters, named James, Thomas, William, Charles, Joseph, Martha, Mary and Mary.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 44 on October 23rd, 1879 in Whitefield.  He was buried in October 1879 at St. Mary (Mirfield).²
