Thomas Mather

Thomas was born on August 22nd, 1796 in Bolton and his baptism took place on September 11th, 1796 in Dukes Alley Chapel (NC).¹

Thomas' father was John Mather and his mother was Betty Sutcliff. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Jennet (Jenny) Hamer. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, John, James, Mary, Jane, Hannah and Betty. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
