Mary Mather

Mary was born on October 25th, 1794 in Bolton and her baptism took place on December 14th, 1794 in Dukes Alley Chapel (NC).¹

Mary's father was John Mather and her mother was Betty Sutcliff. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Jennet (Jenny) Hamer. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, Thomas, John, James, Jane, Hannah and Betty. She was the third oldest of the nine children.
