Tabitha was born on August 21st, 1842 in Billinge and her baptism took place on September 11th, 1842 at St. Aidan (Billinge).¹

Birth Notes

Tabitha's father was James Mather and her mother was Ellen Moyers. Her paternal grandparents were Joshua Mather and Margaret (Peggy) Mather; her maternal grandparents were Edward Moyers and Tabitha Mather. She had two brothers named James and Edward. She was the oldest of the three children.
