Simon Mather

Simon was born in 1890 in Darwen.¹ Simon's father was James Mather and his mother was Mary Jane Marsden. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Mather and Elizabeth (Isabella) Holden. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Edward, Andrew, Elizabeth, Nancy, Margaret and Daisy. He was the youngest of the seven known children.
