Edward Mather 
Edward was born in 1883 in Darwen.1 Edward's father was James Mather and his mother was Mary Jane Marsden. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Mather and Elizabeth (Isabel) Holden. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Andrew, Simon, Elizabeth, Nancy, Margaret and Daisy. He was the fourth oldest of the seven known children.-
