Robert Mather

Robert was born on December 27th, 1793 in Bamber Bridge and his baptism took place on February 2nd, 1794 in Walton-le-Dale.¹

Robert's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Jenny Rigby. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Mather and Margaret Fielden. He had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Richard, John, Richard and Jenny. He was the second youngest of the six children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Joshua, Thomas and Mary.
