Richard Mather

Richard was born on April 23rd, 1792 in Bamber Bridge and his baptism took place on June 17th, 1792 in Walton-le-Dale.¹

Richard's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Jenny Rigby. His paternal grandparents were Joshua Mather and Margaret Fielden. He had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Richard, John, Robert and Jenny. He was the third youngest of the six children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Joshua, Thomas and Mary.
