Reuben was born in 1825 in Bradford.¹

Birth Notes

Reuben's father was Berry (Bury) Mather and his mother was Ellen (Nelly) Burton. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Eckersley. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Nathan, Bury, Nancy, Ann and Sarah. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 35 in October 1860 in Yorkshire. He was buried on October 22nd, 1860 in Yorkshire.²
