Nancy Mather

Nancy was born in 1800 in Whitefield and her baptism took place on June 1st, 1800 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).¹

Nancy's father was Berry (Bury) Mather and her mother was Ellen (Nelly) Burton. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Eckersley. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Nathan, Reuben, Bury, Ann and Sarah. She was the oldest of the seven children.

General Notes
- What happened to Nancy? There's a Nancy Taylor, born Whitefield on the 1851 & 1871 census records which could be her. This Nancy married John Taylor and had Hannah b. 28 May 1828. She may have married Ellis Vickars, but there's no trace of them after the banns.
