Mary Ann Mather

Mary was born in July 1827 in Worsley and her baptism took place on July 15th, 1827 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Eccles) conducted by Vicar Thomas Blackburn.¹

Mary's father was Richard Mather and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Taylor. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Richard, James, William, Robert, Sarah, Esther, Betty and Susannah. She had an adopted brother named Henry.  She died at the age of 21 in March 1849 in Worsley.  She was buried on March 26th, 1849 at St. Peter (Swinton).²
