Mary was born in July 1823. Mary's father was Peter Mather and her mother was Sarah Hall. Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and Mary Melling. She had a brother and a sister, named James and Mary. She was the second oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Squire, Maria, Ann and Elizabeth. She died at 9 months old on April 23rd, 1824 in Radcliffe. She was buried in April 1824 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).1
