John (Elzey) Ellsworth Mather

John, known as Elzey, was born on September 21st, 1871 in Baltimore County.¹ Elzey's father was Nathan Cumley Mather Snr and his mother was Mary Emma Biscoe. His paternal grandparents were William Mather and Helen (Ellen) Cunliffe. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Warner, Nathan, Nathan, Thomas, Charles, Mollie and Bessie. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 79 on April 11th, 1951 in Maryland (MD).¹
