John Mather

John was born on March 18th, 1767 in Warrington and his baptism took place on April 21st, 1767 at St. Elphin (Warrington).¹

John's father was Henry Mather and his mother was Sarah Clare. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, James, Richard, Mary, Betty, Sarah, Ellen and Kitty.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 38 in August 1805 in Warrington.  He was buried on August 25th, 1805 at St. Elphin (Warrington).²
