James Mather

James was born in January 1771 in Warrington and his baptism took place on March 22nd, 1771 at St. Elphin (Warrington).¹

James' father was Henry Mather and his mother was Sarah Clare. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, John, Richard, Mary, Betty, Sarah, Ellen and Kitty.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 24 in December 1795 in Warrington.  He was buried on December 4th, 1795 at St. Elphin (Warrington).²
