John Mather

John was born in 1828 in Little Hulton.

  Like Moses, John was probably born before his father married, so never got baptised.
  
  Abode: Little Hulton, spouse Ellis a Wheelwright for alter baptisms, but none found for john

John's father was Ellis Mather and his mother was Elizabeth Cook. His paternal grandparents were Ellis Mather and Ann Thornley. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Ellis, Charles, Thomas, Ann, Frances and Ellen. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 44 in 1872.
