John Mather

John's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Alice Entwistle. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Charles, John, Edward, James, Richard, Thomas, Mary and Ann.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 4 in May 1792 in Turton.  He was buried on May 26th, 1792 at Turton Chapel.¹
