James Mather

James was born in May 1800 in Turton and his baptism took place on May 12th, 1800 at Turton Chapel.¹

James' father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Alice Entwistle. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Charles, John, Edward, Richard, Thomas, Mary and Ann. He was the seventh oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 11 in June 1811 in Quarlton. His burial was on June 22nd, 1811 at Turton Chapel.¹
