James Mather

James' father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Alice Entwistle. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Charles, John, Edward, Richard, Thomas, Mary and Ann.  He was the third youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 11 in June 1811 in Quarlton.  He was buried on June 22nd, 1811 at Turton Chapel.¹
