James Mather

James was born in September 1865 in Worsley.¹

James' father was John Mather and his mother was Alice Whittle. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Alice Bradshaw. He had a brother and five sisters, named Thomas, Sarah, Elizabeth, Betsy, Edith and Fanny. He was the third youngest of the seven children.
