James Mather

James was born in March 1762 in Haslingden and his baptism took place there on May 30th, 1762.¹

James' father was James Mather and his mother was Alice Cowp. His paternal grandparents were John (Old Hatter) Mather and Martha Mather. He had three sisters named Mary, Martha and Alice. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, Thomas, Henry and Mary. He died at the age of 67 in April 1829. His burial was on April 15th, 1829 in Prescot.¹
