James Mather

James was born in March 1788 in Turton and his baptism took place there on March 30th, 1788.

James' father was James Mather and his mother was Isobel (Elizabeth) Wilkinson. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Mary Dawson. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, John, James, Bould, Mary and Nancy. He was the fifth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 8 in April 1796 in Bolton. His burial was on April 15th, 1796 in Turton.¹²
