Bould Mather

Bould was born in February 1793 in Turton and his baptism took place on February 24th, 1793 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

  Death record shows Bould died aged 1, son of Isabel (whos husband James Mather had just died). However, Bould was baptised son of James and Elizabeth (not Isobel). Isobel can be a variant name for Elizabeth.

Bould's father was James Mather and his mother was Isobel (Elizabeth) Wilkinson. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Mary Dawson. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, John, James, James, Mary and Nancy. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 1 in March 1794 in Walmsley. His burial was on March 25th, 1794 in Turton.²

- Bould (maybe Bold) Mather, son of James Mather is a mystery. Born of Elizabeth, but Isobel recorded as mother when buried. There is only one Bould Mather. Isobel is a diminuative name for Elizabeth.
  
  25 March 1794, Bould son of Isabel Mather, Poor, of Great Bolton died and buried at St Peter's, aged 1.
