Frederick Mather

Frederick was born in March 1858 in Bolton.¹

Frederick's father was Simon Mather and his mother was Jane Wolstencroft. His paternal grandparents were Simon Mather and Ellen Brooks Unsworth. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Alphonso, George, Ellen, Henrietta and Margaret. He had an adopted sister named Martha. He had a half-brother named Robert.

- 28 April 1879, Frederick Mather (21), brickmaker, son of Simon, of 6 Apple Street marred Ellen Corfield (20) from Liverpool. Alfonzo was their witness.
  
  In 1881, Frederick and Ellen (23 & 21) were in Bolton. Thay had a son George James in 1883 that died an infant.
