On both her marriages, Jane records her father as George Wolstencroft, a cabinet maker. However there appears to be no such person and Jane may also have used the maiden name TOWNSON for two of her children. It could be she was illegitimate or adopted. All births (including both TOWNSON) were registered in Western Bolton.
