Ellin Mather

Ellin was born in March 1780 in Westhoughton and her baptism took place on March 5th, 1780 at St. Bartholomew (Westhoughton).¹

Ellin's father was Ralph Mather and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Glover. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Ralph, John, Betty, Catharine, Ann, Hannah, Ellin and Mary.  She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  She died as an infant at 2 months old in May 1780 in Westhoughton.  She was buried on May 2nd, 1780 at St. Bartholomew (Westhoughton).²
